Interracial Dating
I use to be against it.
But ever since going to Cali, my view of things has changed.
California is so diverse so a lot of things are normal there that would be frowned upon in Georgia.
Anyway...I wouldn't mind dating a non-black guy as long as he has my values and beliefs.
I know people would stare at us. But through life you're gonna get stared down and talked about.
They hate it, I love it! :) Always do what you want!
I will admit though that sometime I wonder why people date outside their race. Maybe I should ask.
What you guys think about this subject?

Too Smart for Your Own Good
I just don't like when people have learned so much philosophy or whatever in school, that everything they believe has no value or moral to it.
Like, do you believe that way because you were taught that or because you find it to be true and to work for you?

I just wanna point out that complaining will only get you two steps back. #truestory
It is always good to see the positive side of things because remember, it could always be worse.
For instance, last semester all I did was complain about where I work. Talking bout I can't wait to get off, I don't like this, or that...
Sure enough, God said: Okay, I'm go hush that up. You just will get off work earlier, in fact, you'll get off work so early you'll have some wack hours.
So, I had some wack hours, wishing, hoping, and praying for more.
So the moral of the story is, complaining will push you back.
I learned not to complain and I am just thankful that I have a job now. 6 hours are better than 0.
HOWEVER!..I have a praying mama.
And thanks to her prayers, I was able to get more hours than the 6 I had at first.
You will never hear me complain again!

So ya'll know I'm in school..
and I've began to noticed a lot of people going natural.
I'm straddling the fence on this one..
as I tweeted: everybody tryna go #teamnatural, but for many it's #fail.
Like seriously!..I'm natural and I encourage people when they are thinking about it.
HOWEVER...lol
I don't like that people are looking at it as the thing to do.
Like why are you natural?
Let it be a good reason.
Like I've been natural all my life, and it's still a struggle.

I've been trying to post forever!!
I have so much to blog about but not enough time!

My earlier post I talked about nepenthe being Greek for no worries, no care.
Well..I just looked the word up for myself [a lady from Cali, by way of Louisiana, told me no worries.]
But it actually is said to be a medicine for sorrow, an anti-depressant. So I guess the a synonym could be joyful..
I just had to look it up since I am using it as my closing [didn't want to be using the wrong word!]

Today in my women's Bible study...I was introduced to Titus 2. Now this chapter right here is the epitome of how a lady should act! ...annnnnnd how a gentleman should act. It is also good for married couples, but since I am not married, I just took what I needed...

2 Older men are to be sober-minded, dignified, self-controlled, sound in faith, in love, and in steadfastness.
3 Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slaves to much wine...

God love never changes
The love that God gives you never change! Listening to some Stacie Orrico [#dontjudgeme!] This is a blog I have been wanting to do for awhile.
So many times people love changes and you don't know what to expect. [I am not just talking bout bf/gf..I am talking bout any and every relationship]. Love is like an attitude. Depending on the mood of that person depends on what you get in return.
As I digress...
Really though, I want to talk about love. Not that gushy, head over heels, in love kind of love though. Just love in general. I think the first thing in order to love, is to forgive. I was watching the Amish Grace movie on TV..and the whole message of the movie was basically the spirit of forgiveness. Even though it is hard to forgive at times-you have to in order to live in peace. Not going into details about a certain situation..but I had so much hate in my heart that I couldn't even be happy about the things that I was suppose to be happy about. Once I learned that I have to walk in love, I felt so much happier! And it feels so good to be happy! Ba-leave Dat! LMBO!...anyway..
1 Corinthians 13 talks about love...
God won't listen to your prayers if you don't have love. How can He bless someone who hates someone else?
The Bible says if you have not love, you are nothing!
Come on..who really wants to be a nothing? I know I don't.
Love is patient, kind, and it does not envy [be jealous].

Summer 10
This summer has been the best summer to date!
too bad it is dwindling down :( it definitely went fast [to me at least]
A little note I wrote to myself:
This summer has been the best summer of my life. I believe this has everything to do with God leading and directing my life. I let Him take the wheel. For awhile I thought 2010 was going to be a repeat of previous years & situations. But with God directing my path & w an open heart. I let go of a lot of things that were hindering my life. I see my future much more clear. I believe success is calling my name. I am a witness that negativity will bring you down and lower your self esteem. Once those things are eliminated out of your life, everything you do or say feels like freedom. I declare my liberty...and I am enjoying it!
