I think the term "Forgive and Forget" is just an excuse for someone to be naive again. Seriously, who really forgets a bad memory of someone using them or mistreating them. No one. I find it very easy to forgive people. However, is forgiveness really ever lasting? Especially once you remember what that person did to you. Who is to say that that person wouldn't do it again. As the saying goes: fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. I have no time to set myself up for someone to use me again. Time is precious and life is valuable. It should only be shared with people worth sharing it with. I know a lot of times it is hard to distinguish who is really there and who is just there. That is what distinction is for though. You have to have an open mind but don't play the fool.
I said all this to say that regardless of what kinda ball life throws you, try not to put yourself in the position where you get used. Because then you have to find it in yourself to forgive that person and then your also left with a negative memory of him/her. Don't regret anything, but play your part and be smart! [a little rhythm going on there. lol]
Love me,
B!
PS: I know my post haven't been "sweet-honeybee" material lately. But hey, hopefully it'll get better! :)
